For the Schiphol Group we are looking for a Data Analist:
Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst for our Operations BI Product Team you will have a large scope and wide stakeholder landscape to keep you always learning something new about airport operations. You will help your stakeholders to fine tune existing KPIs or explore new ones, and align definitions against the vast datasets at your disposal. You will be in the frontline of creating tangible intelligence that will be used in decision making by colleagues ranging from management to those in critical operational roles.
Your key deliverables will include:
- Join the key Business Intelligence team dedicated to support our stakeholders in the Operations Domain with accurate actionable performance dashboards and insights;
- Understand the business and the potential to optimize their processes and help formulating the most relevant business and analysis questions;
- Define meaningful KPIs together with business stakeholders and perform data analyses to translate these functional definitions into precise logic and calculations;
- Explore, assess and validate the data quality and usability of existing and new datasets;
- Ensure consistent interpretation of KPIs across different stakeholder groups by formalizing and documenting definitions;
- Act as a bridge between business requirements and BI development (back-end and front-end) to ensure alignment between requirements and end results.
To succeed in this role, you should bring the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years of working in a data team, with meaningful experience in data analytics. Aviation-related experience is a big plus;
- HBO-level education in engineering, econometrics, sciences, business analytics, or related with a strong quantitative component;
- Experience in translating business requirements to data products, insights and KPIs;
- Ability to tell compelling stories with data and present outcomes effectively to stakeholders;
- Comfortable participating in Agile ceremonies and adhering to Scrum processes;
- Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages, particularly Python and relevant libraries such as Pandas, Pyspark and Plotly or Matplotlib. - Knowledge of Streamlit is a plus;
- Experience working in PowerBI, and familiar with related concepts such as semantic models and DAX;
- Knowledge of Collibra is a plus;
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in Dutch and a good working level of English is required.
In addition, you will take on an independent and leading role and report weekly on sprint activities to the Product owner and team. Your contribution will be discussed and qualitatively assessed by the team and relevant stakeholders.
Schiphol will provide a laptop and, if necessary, access to internal systems. You will work from the SHG (Schipholhoofdgebouw) with the option to work from home (approximately 2 days per week) in consultation, if the project allows.
You will work a maximum of 32 hours per week.
